I have to apologise to the timeshare public for this article as its nothing to do with timeshare with the exception that Mark Rowe’s and the monumental monster scams he and his companies have been performing in the world of timeshare.

Of late many will know that 1,00’s of consumers have been ripped off in the sale of Monster Rewards and Monster Credits. Well like the council bus system, its all change now as Monster rewards and credits as they have as predicted crashed leaving £million owed to consumers. That said there is always another fantasy “up the sleeve of ex-timeshare salesmen” and this time is Jive hippo. Not a monster but a swinging water cash cow.

Mark Rowe and his wife Nicola Rowe have set up Jive Hippo see here and it sells Water toys to train sets and hair dryer to a lady shavers.

Its Registered office address is Midland House, 2 Poole Road, Bournemouth, United Kingdom, BH2 5QY and the company was incorporated on the 9 November 2015.

Like the many Rowe Companies, it requires finance in the form and share capital but being frugal with their money he has risked a massive £2.00 in this Company knowing that you (the consumer) pay before you get. Many might think this is a small amount of risk, however, is 100 % more than his investment into ABC Lawyers limited which retains a share capital of £1.00/

On the 31 October 2025 and after a year of think time, the company was still valued as £2.00. see here

Yet when you look at its website Rowe’s claim Jive Hippo membership is a great way to save money, which is in line with all their past ventures, however the only problem is that all the other ventures have netted the Rowe Family Millions and every consumer who bought other products from them have lost £10’s of thousands.

You don’t need to be a member to buy “stuff” the website says but members save a ton of money if they are, which (as suggested before) will be a first for a Mark Rowe company. Like all the schemes he has promoted, you are advised to be a member as its flexible (but equally risky). If gambling on the Mark Rowe roulette table, it would be like backing red when all the numbers after the balls have been rolled all changed to black. Or like being promised you would hit a six with a cricket bat he sells only to find out that the bat has no handle.

10 February 2026

We have just attended one of the ‘Sell my Timeshare’ meetings in Stratford on Avon, and as one or two people have previously admitted, somehow we ended up being persuaded to join the ‘Monster Discount Club’ – but now it is being called ‘Jive Hippo’. Since returning home we have discovered that this changeover occurred on the 1st of February and we attended the meeting on the 2nd of February! Also ‘Sell my Timeshare’ have just changed their name to ‘ABC Lawyers’ But we are told that they are not Solicitors.

We were persuaded to sign two Contracts – one for taking the company who sold us our timeshare, to Court because supposedly they gave us an illegal contract when we bought it. The second Contract with ‘Jive Hippo’ was we were told to offset the cost of the Spanish lawyer. We were asked for £8,500 up front but we told them that we didn’t have that amount so just a £1,000 was taken – with the proviso that we pay the rest within two weeks. We were completely confused by the time we left the meeting some three hours later.
Since coming back we have done some research and have been advised to go to the Citizens Advice Bureau and the Police as what ‘Sell my Timeshare’ are doing is a ‘scam’. We are in the process of trying to get our £1,000 back from the credit card company.

Hi, my wife & I went to see ABC lawyers in York today & it all sounded really plausible until the lady started talking about “Jive Hippo” & how if we joined jive Hippo it would mean we had no VAT to pay. my wife & I were both a bit confused at this, as it just seemed a bit weird how they were going to charge us £8750 if we joined the jive Hippo, or £18750 if we did not join. Bit of a difference if VAT is 20% !!!!. The figures were not adding up so we did not part with any money but on our return home, we did a bit of digging & found that a guy called Mark Richard Thomas Rowe was a director with ABC Lawyers & Jive Hippo & Monster & various other companies.
I would love to know if anyone has managed to get rid of their timeshare or received any compensation from this company.
